Ensuring the integrity of a free election process is a sacred task in the United States. It involves the Federal, State, and Local Government and a massive amount of volunteers coming together to ensure a fair process. This is a difficult process during normal times considering threats from foreign and domestic adversaries combined with the coordination required to ensure every vote is counted. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the threat landscape for the 2020 election cycle and our upcoming election processes will be under unprecedented scrutiny to ensure that our democratic institutions are protected from outside influence. This panel of national election security experts will discuss how adversaries may exploit the unique factors of the upcoming elections, from vote-by-mail to disinformation campaigns, to further disrupt the upcoming elections, and offer possible solutions that can be implemented by governments and voters to counter these threats.
